Experience with the Christian Faith Community
Over the past 30 years of serving in ministry, and my lifetime of being in such communities, I believe I bring a breadth of experience and understanding of church place experiences - the good, the bad, and the ugly!
As a counsellor I have had the privilege of working with many in the ministry , lay workers, theological college students, pastors, and their partners, returned missionaries, and many Christians of various denominations in Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, and as far as the mid north coast.
Many of these clients seek the counsel of a someone who is professionally qualified, experienced , and who shares their faith in God. As a client, this provides a safe space and know that your counsellor will understand the perspective you are coming from, and maintain appropriate confidential boundaries.
Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, mental illness, grief or loss, relationship issues, infidelity, parenting challenges, work related issues, stress, trauma, or have come out of a troubling and/or abusive church environment, at Abundant Life Strategies we are here to support you.
When we deny our stories
they define our lives.
When we run from struggle
we are never free.
So we turn toward truth
and look it in the eye.”
